Pet Portrait

Sometimes, in order to get the best shot, you have to be willing to do more than stand and wait for the pet to pose. For this photo, I laid down on the floor next to her. With the flash on, I wasn't able to get the wide-eyed innocent look that is her trademark. So I turned off the flash and lowered the shutter speed so the picture wouldn't be dark. I set the camera on the floor to take the picture, since it is not a good idea to hold a camera while taking a picture with a longer shutter speed--it will most likely turn out blurry.
